Welcome to Knitmus. By downloading, installing, or using the Knitmus mobile application or website, you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully.

1. About Knitmus

Knitmus is a knitting pattern generation app that uses artificial intelligence to analyse sweater photos and create custom knitting patterns based on your measurements and preferences. The app is provided by Knitmus ("we", "our", or "us").

2. Using the App

You may use Knitmus for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree to:

• Use the app only for its intended purpose of generating knitting patterns
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or redistribute the app
• Not use the app to infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
• Provide accurate measurements for pattern generation

3. AI-Generated Content

Knitmus uses AI to analyse photos and generate knitting patterns. Please be aware that:

• AI-generated patterns are original interpretations inspired by the uploaded photo, not exact copies of existing designs.
• We do not guarantee that generated patterns will produce identical results to any source material.
• Pattern accuracy depends on the accuracy of your measurements and gauge input.
• You are responsible for verifying stitch counts and measurements before beginning to knit.

4. Intellectual Property

Patterns generated by Knitmus are for your personal use. You may knit items from your generated patterns and sell finished handmade items. However:

• You may not redistribute, resell, or publish the generated pattern text itself without permission.
• The Knitmus name, logo, and app design are our intellectual property.
• You retain ownership of any photos you upload. We do not claim rights to your photos.

5. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

Knitmus offers the following purchase options:

• Monthly subscription — Provides unlimited access to save and view patterns. Automatically renews each month.
• Single pattern purchase — A one-time purchase to save and access a single pattern.

Subscription terms:

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions at any time through your device's account settings (Apple: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions; Android: Google Play > Subscriptions).
• No refunds will be provided for partial subscription periods. Refund requests should be directed to Apple or Google.

Free features:

• Pattern generation and preview are free for all users.
• A subscription or single purchase is required to save patterns to your library and download as PDF.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Knitmus is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

• The app will be error-free or uninterrupted
• Generated patterns will be free from errors
• The AI analysis will perfectly match every design

Knitting involves personal skill and judgment. Always check your gauge and measurements before committing to a project.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Knitmus shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to wasted yarn or time due to pattern errors.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the app if you violate these terms. You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it from your device.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will post significant changes on this page with a new "Last updated" date.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Norway.
